MOVE IT!

As 2020 rolled out, it become more clear with every passing day that ‘lockdown’ was here to stay. Fast forward to November, and we were about to enter our second National Lockdown. With theatres still closed, and public performances forbidden it was time to follow the success of SING IT, and invite our students to take part in our second online competition, the brilliant: MOVE IT. 

The competition invited our Artz dancers to create their own choreography at home, dancing to 6 themes over 6 jam-packed episodes. We received 61 pieces of choreography from 13 of our incredible Artz dancers, and once more our students were using the performing arts to create a positive response to the effects of the pandemic.

The competition of course, could only crown one champion. And after 6 weeks of submissions, dancing to everything from Kelly Clarkson to Hamilton, our winner was the amazing… MEGAN POWELL.
