Last autumn, we introduced you to three new members of our Artz Team, our brilliant Kickstart Scheme lads. We told you all about the roles of James and Jay, and how they would be impacting Artz Centre life during their 6 months with us; but Jack’s story, we have waited until now to share, and for a good reason.
Since early August, Jack has been working on a huge behind-the-scenes Artz Centre IT and Administration project, one that won’t be seen on stage, but will be hugely instrumental in the workings of the Artz Centre, moving forward.
For those of you who don’t know Jack, this hardworking and brilliant lad has a flair for computing, coding, and keeping all of those annoying technical gremlins at bay. Since August, Jack has been collating all of our Student data into an all new database, in line with GDPR guidelines, so that we can quickly and confidentially access all of our student’s records, in one secure space. This all new password-protected software and database enables us to store everything from contact information, chapters information, headshots and even awards and achievements in one place. Which, when it comes to writing programmes and official Artz Centre documents, is literally worth its weight in pure, pure, gold.
Jack has worked almost entirely single handedly to ensure that this project reaches completion by the end of his Kickstart placement; and whilst the entirety of this project will remain completely confidential and literally under lock-and-key, we absolutely needed to share and celebrate the completion of such a mammoth challenge.
Jack has now finished his time at the Artz Centre, and we wish him all the best for his future endeavours!
