Music lessons at the Artz Centre are designed to be fun, engaging, and accessible for all ages. As a team of creatives and musicians, we know how important it is to feel a sense of belonging as a musician. No artist likes to create alone. That’s why when you take Arts Music lessons with us, you’re not just getting private one-on-one tuition from expert tutors, you’re also becoming part of something bigger, part of the Artz family. And throughout the year, music is at the heart of what we do. From our Live Lounges to music videos, and everything in between. It’s never too early or too late to learn an instrument. Because learning to play is a skill for life. And learning to play allows you to play a part of something bigger than yourself.

We’ve been putting on amazing live events for over a decade, and we know what it takes to make you shine on stage. Every year, we host a series of ‘Solos’. These cabaret-style concerts are a chance for you, the artist, to perform for friends, family, and a live audience. We take care of all the tech and production, so you can focus on delivering your performance. But we don’t just reserve the stage for the most polished performers. We believe that getting on stage, even when you’re just starting out, is an important part of growing your craft. That’s why we encourage any and every performer to join us and to jump onto the stage at Solo. All we ask is that you give it your best shot and don’t be afraid to make mistakes. 

In addition to Solos, we also host our Live Lounges. These annual events are perfect for our singer-songwriters who want a warm and cozy place to showcase their music and tell their story. We know that sharing your soul in a song can be intimidating, so we create an environment where you can be yourself and everyone will welcome you and your art. 

Oh, and we almost forgot to mention our summer festival. It’s a weekend-long live music event inspired by Glastonbury, V-Fest, and even a bit of Coachella. Taking place on the August Bank holiday it is a true celebration of the talented musicians we have in our community.

We want the music scene in West Lancashire to be booming! It’s so close to Manchester and Liverpool, two mega-music-hubs of the UK. But finding a recording studio can still be a challenge. That’s why we went ahead and built our own! We wanted to make sure that all our students had access to top-notch facilities where they could create their music their way. So, when you visit our Birch Green Artz Centre, you’ll find a state-of-the-art recording studio featuring a soundproof recording booth and an editing suite packed with top-notch equipment. 

And don’t worry, we won’t leave you alone in there. Our team of technicians and producers are always ready to help you make your music, teach you how to create and produce your own pieces, and  guide you through the whole the process even up to getting your music shared through Spotify and other platforms. Whether you’re dreaming of recording a demo, a solo, an EP, or a full studio album, our recording studio and our team are here to help you make it happen.

For musicians seeking to elevate their training, we provide graded qualifications through RSL, a globally recognised exam board with over three decades of experience. RSL has revolutionised the creative industries and education landscape, offering tailored qualifications for contemporary musicians and grades ranging from introductory to advanced levels of study. RSL’s graded exams in music reward hard work and provide a comprehensive assessment of musical proficiency. Whether you are starting out on your musical journey, pursuing further/higher education in music, or refining your advanced instrument technique, a rock school qualification will enhance your playing abilities, broaden your technical expertise, and establish a solid understanding of music theory. Additionally, you will learn to play some of the most iconic song from the world of music. We are proud to offer RSL graded exams in guitar and piano.
