ARTZ CENTRE PRODUCE LOCAL G FACTOR SHOW

The Artz Team helped bring a little festive cheer to Glenburn this week, helping them to produce their end of term talent show G Factor. Despite the dark cloud of uncertainty that hangs over the school the pupils and staff pulled together to deliver a fantastic afternoon of entertainment.

Pupils from the school competed against each other in a variety of acts including music, dance and singing. The X Factor style event was hosted superbly by PE teacher Mike Tracey and all acts received great support from the rest of the Glenburn Pupils.

The Artz Team constructed the stage and kitted out the sports hall with a new sound system and stage lighting structure, this helped to bring the real “wow” factor to what was a much needed boost for all involved. Artz Director Mark Ashton was also on the panel of judges and donated a fabulous recording studio prize to the eventual winner.

“It was great to be involved in an event like this. Putting on shows is what we do and to be able to help local children to get on stage is a huge bonus. I know of the pressure that the school has been under and I want to congratulate the teachers and the pupils involved for the time and effort that they put in to make this event a success. There is certainly no lack of passion and desire at Glenburn and I wish them all the best in what continues to be a stressful year for them all.”
