GRADED EXAMS - Artz Centre

THE PROGRAMME

At the Artz Centre, we offer a year-long rolling Artz Exam Programme in graded Musical Theatre examinations, currently accredited by RSL.

In 2018, we began delivering the Artz Exam Programme; facilitating weekly classes over a period of 12 months towards a final graded Exam Show day, attended by examiners from RSL. Our Exam Class programme has grown substantially, and now offers tuition in Introductory Levels, Grades 1 to 8, and Level 4 Diplomas in Musical Theatre and the Performing Arts. Grades 6 and above carry UCAS Points, for University applications.

To date, we have coached an impressive 83 individual local young people through our graded programmes, and our current pass rate stands at 100%. Since 2018, 98% of our students have achieved Merit or Distinction in their RSL Musical Theatre examination, making the Artz Centre a leading provider for Musical Theatre graded training in the North West.

THE SYLLABUS

For Premiere Candidates, the RSL examination is split up into two parts:

THE CLASSES

The RSL Exam Programme is available to all current Artz students, and the weekly classes suit a variety of ages and abilities. Each enrolled student works towards a Graded Level (Premiere, Debut and Grades 1-8) that is suitable for their individual performance level, confidence and skill.

RSL Exam Classes commence each year in January; this is the only entry point for the Exam Programme, and attendance is strictly monitored.

Please note: Places for the Artz Exam Programme are limited, our Preliminary & Advanced Classes are capped at 16 students, whilst our Intermediate Class is capped at 26 students.

THE EXAM FEES

There is an additional cost for each RSL Examination Grade, and these fees are set by RSL, to cover the costs of the Examination itself. In order to be able to finalise our candidate information with the Exam Board each year, we ask that this payment is made to the Artz Centre by the 31st of July.
