DANCE TEACHER

Our creative provision for young people and adults is currently facilitated across our two vibrant Artz Centre facilities: The Artz Centre in Birch Green, Skelmersdale, and The Artz Centre and Café Library in Up Holland.

Are you passionate about using the arts and creativity to better the lives of those around you? Are you interested in developing leadership skills that will inspire and motivate a variety of participants in your work? Are you driven to refine your own artistic practice, whilst inspiring the next generation of dancers? Then you may just be the practitioner that we are looking for.

We are looking to recruit a new Dance Teacher to lead our community dance provision at our Up Holland Artz Centre site. This will include planning and delivering creative classes to our 4 current cohorts of dancers each week (our Tots, Infants, Junior and Senior classes). The role will also involve working alongside, and in partnership with, our Skelmersdale Dance Principle; developing an annual Dance showcase which features dancers from both our Skelmersdale and Up Holland Academies of Dance.

As the new Dance Teacher of our Up Holland Artz Centre Dance Academy, there are a number of benefits that we can offer to you, as a fellow creative practitioner, and as a member of our vibrant and close-knit team.

Our Up Holland Dance Academy is already established, with classes of students ready to dance, however there is certainly room for growth. This role features a competitive salary that is reflective of the numbers of dancers per week in each class; therefore if you are active in recruitment, there is an opportunity to boost your salary throughout your time in this post. You will deliver sessions in our stunning studio space and will benefit from full admin and marketing support. (You will just need to focus on the dancing)

THE DETAILS:

We are looking to make a long term appointment from January 2021. The role requires 5 hours a week teaching time on a Thursday evening, with room for growth for the right candidate. The role will include full holiday entitlement and other employee benefits.
