ARTZ FOR ALL

Artz for All C.I.C is an award-winning social enterprise based in the heart of West Lancashire. As an organisation we work extensively to provide our local community with high quality, fun and innovative opportunities in the creative industries.

We currently facilitate our provision through two vibrant community resource venues, The Artz Centre in Birch Green, Skelmersdale, and The Artz Centre and Café Library in Up Holland.

At the Artz Centre, our work is categorised into 4 key areas:

Academy: Our affordable, accessible and high quality programme of weekly creative classes; delivered directly to the local community, for people of all ages.
Education: Our learning programmes designed for local school settings; including workshops for EYFS-KS4 in a variety of creative disciplines.
Productions: Our high quality stage productions in Musical Theatre, Singing, Drama, Dance, Live Music and Film; produced and performed by our Artz Academy.
Professional: Our bespoke and executive services which offer creative solutions for local businesses, and other corporate clients, through a range of products.

SKELMERSDALE

The Skelmersdale Artz Centre, our original flagship Artz venue, is a local creative hub located in Birch Green, and is described by many locals as the “jewel in the crown of Skelmersdale”.

At our Skelmersdale Centre, we offer a busy weekly timetable of Artz Academy classes for young people in Dance, Drama and Singing, with Adult Drama provision for those aged 18 and above, too. We also facilitate an accredited RSL Exam Class for local young people wishing to achieve formal qualifications in the arts.

Many of our Artz Professional services are facilitated from our Skelmersdale Centre, and the building itself is available to hire for services which reflect our Artz values and community ethos.

UPHOLLAND

The Up Holland Artz Centre, Community Library & Café is our all-new “sister” creative venue, located in Hall Green.

During the Summer of 2019, we somewhat rescued this formerly derelict library and painstakingly began to restore this iconic building to its former glory; uncovering a parquet floor and exposing a stunning vaulted ceiling in the process.

At our Up Holland Artz Centre, we offer weekly classes for young people in Musical Theatre and Dance, and also private Instrumental lessons for people of all ages. The Centre also facilitates an adult choir, amongst many other social groups during the day time. The Café Library is open 5 days a week, serving fresh coffee, in a cosy and inviting atmosphere.
