The Artz Centre played a key role in a community action day set up by The Community Safety Partnership and West Lancashire Borough Council. Agencies including Police, Fire Brigade, SAY, Adaction and Council Officials where out in force across the Birchgreen area of Skelmersdale providing help and support to families in the community.
The Artz Centre where asked to run a range of fun activities for the children and young people in the local community, many of which have not accessed the centre before. Over 100 young people attended over the two days taking part in drama workshops, tug of war and big ball sessions ran by Alan Lewis and Skelmersdale Action For Youth. Several community police officers also took part in activities helping to build relationships with local young people.
