At the Artz Centre, we are ever expanding, ever growing, and always looking for new creatives to join our team; and today we welcomed our newest recruit into the hallowed halls of Artz staff, past and present.
Meet James. He’s 24, originally from the land of Yorkshire tea, extremely tall, and all kinds of fabulous. James will be spending the next 6 months at the Artz Centre as our all new Creative Design and Marketing bod. His role has been funded by the DWP Kickstart Scheme, and he’ll be on site for 25 hours a week, till the end of the year.
What we didn’t see coming when James applied for this Kickstart Scheme role, was his Masters Degree in Professional Acting, and the literal bags of experience he brings to the Artz table with this title. James studied for his MA at ALRA (the Academy of Live & Recorded Arts) in Wigan, and his specialist skills are clowning and comedy.
So, whilst James is on board for the next 6 months to complete a whole host of audio-visual marketing and design projects, he is also joining our staff team during a truly pivotal time; whilst we aim to take no less than 12 productions to stage between August and the end of the year. James will soon become a regular face to our youth theatre students, and we’ve no doubt that he will be well involved in many aspects of the remainder of 2021, and the momentous journey that we all face.
About his pending experience, James said:
My first day at the Artz Centre has been a ray of sunshine from beginning to end and I look forward to the rest of this glorious experience!
Welcome to the Team!
