The Artz Centre was given the seal of approval by The Mayor of West Lancashire Doreen Stevenson, on her official visit to the community arts facility. The Mayoress was keen to see the developments in person after attending the prestigious Artz Awards presentation just a couple of weeks earlier and was given the guided tour by Artz Director Mark Ashton.
Doreen Stephennson – Mayor of West Lancashire had this to say;
“I very much enjoyed my visit to The Artz Centre. I was amazed at the number and choices of activities that where on offer and I was most impressed with he transformation of the building and the facilities that have been added.
You have achieved so much in such a short space of time and so many opportunities are being made available to young people in Skelmersdale – your organisation is an inspiration to those who may not have had the opportunity to reveal their talents.
You should be very proud of yourselves and I wish you all the success in the future – you certainly deserve it”
