More good news this month as our Executive Director Mark, has been nominated for two prestigious gongs at the inaugural Divine Days Awards Event. The awards have been launched to celebrate those who live with disability, learning disability and neurodiversity and for those people and organisations who support them.
Mark has been shortlisted for “The Going The Extra Mile Award”
Recognising a team or individual who have made a significant contribution to their establishment and local community, one who has shown dedication and commitment, working behind the scenes to overcome challenges and improve the life chances of the people of Lancashire.
and the award for “Special Recognition”.
Recognising and celebrating any individual who has shown a lifelong commitment to working with disabled, learning disabled and neurodiverse, children, adults and families in our community. One who works tirelessly to break down barriers to opportunity and inclusivity, and who is a leading example of what can be achieved with commitment and dedication and when opening your heart and mind to what is possible.
Artz Centre have now been a long standing supporter of founder Katie Whitehead and Divine Days. Our Upholland centre hosts their creative sessions on a Saturday morning, and we have helped families and children connect through a shared passion of the arts.
On being shortlisted Mark had this to say;
“ I am extremely humbled and and honoured to be shortlisted, as with everything we do at Artz , this is a team effort and I want to thank everyone who has helped Divine Days to establish themselves at The Artz Centre over the last couple of years. These partnerships are key to ensuring that everyone has access to quality arts provision locally. We will continue to work hard to remove barriers for the those that need it most” – Mark Ashton
