Clou’s Farewell

0

Another noticeable Artz Chapter came to an end this month as Clou stepped down from her post as the Artz Centre’s funding co-ordinator and chief administrator. For more than five years Clou has formed an integral part of the management team here helping to secure vital funds for the Artz Centre. Her work has helped to launch new projects like Artz Adults, Artz Festival and most recently our amazing Eurovision song event;

She has also taken the creative lead too, directing Jungle Book, Neverland and leading the first infant cohort through the RSL exam process. Perhaps most notably, Clou was an instrumental part of the team that lead the business through Covid; Her creativity and diligence during that period helped to steer the Artz ship through one of the most turbulent chapters in our incredible story.

“Clou has been a vital part of our success here and we will miss her for sure. I have known her a long time, firstly as a student playing the lead role in my new play (The Lost Christmas), then as a peer mentor and eventually a director of my company. It shows the level of trust I have had in her over the years and I want to say thank you for the incredible contribution she has made. We hope it won’t be long before we see her again.”

On leaving the Artz Centre Clou had this to say;

“The past 6 years working within the Artz Team has gifted me with a family that I never knew that I needed; and I’ve loved every minute of working with our brilliant students and their extended families. Being able to watch our students grow, overcome challenges and achieve their dreams (on-stage, and off-it!) has been an immense privilege, and I would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who has been a part of my own little journey, along the way. I may be moving on from my current role at the Artz Centre, but this is less of a good-bye and more of a see-you-soon! I can’t wait to see what’s next for this incredible organisation, and I will certainly be keeping in touch. Sending much, much, love to y’all!”
